Our Services and Initiatives

Sadavrat (Daily Free Kitchen – Greenford Mandir)

Started in 2010 during the recession, the Greenford Mandir serves daily vegetarian meals, feeding over 2,000 people weekly and continuing Thursday Prasad traditions.

Legacy of Sadavrat: The Divine Origins

Originating 200 years ago in Virpur, Gujarat, Saint Jalaram Bapa’s ever-full granary inspires today’s inclusive Sadavrat service based on divine blessings.

Homeless & Needy Food Distribution – Central London

Volunteers serve 230–300 homeless people weekly at Charing Cross, providing food, clothing, and essentials with support from supermarkets and individual donors.

Supporting Other Charities

Surplus Mandir food supplies are shared with local temples, churches, gurdwaras, and food banks to reduce waste and extend support to the wider community.

Medical Seva & Health Awareness

The Mandir hosts health events, blood drives, and has registered NHS organ donors, while raising funds for charities like Diabetes UK and St. Luke’s Hospice.

Community Engagement & Local Contributions

The Mandir supports Greenford community efforts, works with local groups, hosts educational visits, and promotes interfaith and intergenerational understanding.

Global Seva: Supporting India & Beyond

The Mandir funds cataract surgeries, dentures, child meals, and disaster relief in India, Uganda, and Nepal, reflecting its wide-reaching humanitarian mission.

Shree Jalaram Mandir Greenford is more than just a place of worship—it’s a vibrant hub of faith, devotion, and community service. The weekly Thursday Bhajans are incredibly uplifting, and the Hanuman Chalisa recitation on Saturdays brings peace and positivity to everyone who attends. The Mandir also provides delicious prasad and meals, welcoming everyone with warmth and generosity.

Every visit to Shree Jalaram Mandir Greenford feels like a blessing. The weekly Bhajans on Thursdays and Hanuman Chalisa on Saturdays are spiritually enriching and bring the community closer. Shree Jalaram Mandir Greenford does an incredible job of engaging the youth in meaningful ways. These events, such as the Shivratri Bhajans, Diwali arts and crafts event and the Children’s Puja’s foster a strong sense of community and belonging. This incredible group of young talent provides countless opportunities to serve, from community outreach to organising heartwarming events for the children. Through these activities, I’ve built lifelong friendships and strengthened my faith. The mandir is inclusive and vibrant, catering to people of all ages and backgrounds. Whether attending the uplifting Thursday Aartis, serving with the compassionate Jalaram Soup Kitchen (JSK), or finding solace in quiet meditation, it’s a place where everyone truly belongs.
