Serving Humanity

Welcome to Jalaram Soup Kitchen – Serving Humanity with Compassion

At Jalaram Mandir Greenford, we are deeply committed to the values of selfless service and humanity, inspired by the teachings of Saint Shree Jalaram Bapa. As part of this mission, the Jalaram Soup Kitchen was established to provide support and nourishment to those in need, especially the homeless and vulnerable members of our community.

Every week, our dedicated volunteers come together to prepare and serve freshly cooked, wholesome meals in a warm and welcoming environment. Beyond just feeding the body, we aim to nurture the spirit, fostering hope, dignity, and kindness in every interaction.

We believe that no one should go hungry, and through this humble initiative, we strive to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who need it most. Whether you wish to volunteer, donate, or simply learn more about our work, we invite you to join us in spreading the light of compassion and love.

Together, let's serve humanity, one meal at a time.

What do we do?

We offer free hot (pizza, samosas, rice and curry, baked pasta) and cold (cheese salad sandwiches, cakes, crisps, chocolates, pop corns, fresh fruit's, vegetables, groceries etc.) food, including hot and cold drinks, warm clothing, bedding (e.g. sleeping bags, blankets, duvets etc.) and toiletries to the HOMELESS and NEEDY.

Who we are?

Mostly volunteers from Shree Jalaram Mandir & Community Centre. We are a registered charity (Charity No.: 1104605). We have been distributing food to homeless and the needy at Charing Cross for 8 years.

Where do we get our items from?

With help from few corporate donors such as Tesco, Waitrose, Asda, FareShare, Harrow Foodbank, The Felix Project (which are has been set up to fight hunger and food waste) and donations from individual donor's. Some items we have to purchase ourselves.
